GEOLOGIC HAZARD ABATEMENT DISTRICT

3-12.00 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to authorize the use of Chapter 2.5 of Division 17 of the Public Resources Code of the State (Sections 26568 et seq) entitled “Geologic Hazard Abatement Districts” in order to provide for the prevention, mitigation, abatement, or control of a geologic hazard.

3-12.01 Declaration.
It is hereby declared that Chapter 2.5 of Division 17 of the Public Resources Code of the State shall be applicable in the City and that the emergency formation of a geologic hazard district may be initiated and formed pursuant to the procedures set forth in said Chapter 2.5.
