8-7.01 Adoption of the Uniform Housing Code.

Except as provided herein, the 2021 International Property Maintenance Code is hereby adopted and replaces the 1997 Uniform Housing Code as the Housing Code for the City of Watsonville.

8-7.02 UHC Section 203—Housing Advisory and Appeals Board.

(a)    Findings.

(1)    There are no specific findings required for the Housing Code.

(b)    Amendments. Uniform Housing Code Section 203 is amended to read in words and figures as follows:

Section 203 Housing Advisory and Board of Appeals. In order to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the building official relative to the application and interpretations of this code they shall follow Watsonville Municipal Code Section 8-1.113.

8-7.03 UHC Chapter 3—Permits and Inspections.

(a)    Findings.

(1)    There are no specific findings required for the Housing Code.

(b)    Amendments. Chapter 3 is deleted.

8-7.04 UHC Chapter 10—Substandard Buildings.

(a)    Findings.

(1)    There are no specific findings required for the Housing Code.

(b)    Amendments. Chapter 10 (Definitions) is deleted and replaced by Section 17920.3 of the California Health and Safety Code.
