8.30.010 Posting of signs.

(1) No more than 33 percent of the square footage of windows and clear doors of an alcohol retailer may have advertising signs of any sort, including tobacco.

(2) Violations of this section are classified as misdemeanors and subject to a fine of $1,000 or not more than six months in jail. [Ord. 671-04, 7-13-04. Prior code § 9-111].

8.30.020 Sale and display.

(1) It is unlawful to sell, offer for sale, or display cigarettes or other tobacco products through a self-service display, which is an open display that is accessible to the public without the assistance of a clerk.

(2) Violators of this section are subject to civil fines of $200.00 for the first offense and $600.00 for the second offense within five years, $1,200 for the third offense within five years, $3,000 for the fourth offense within five years, or $5,000 for the fifth and subsequent violations within five years. 8.30.030 Severability.

If any provision, clause, sentence, or paragraph of this chapter or the application thereof to any person or circumstances shall be held invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the other provisions of this chapter which can be given effect without the invalid provision or application, and to this end the provisions of this chapter are declared to be severable.
