Article I. Parking Generally

10.20.010 Parking unlawful.

A. It is unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle for a period of time longer than two hours along Main Street and West Roseberry.

B. Except when diligently loading or unloading from or to an adjacent business, it is unlawful for a truck larger than a standard pickup truck, or for a semi-trailer, to be parked on a street or alley within the central business district (CBD), as defined on the city zoning map.

C. It is unlawful for any person to park a motor vehicle upon the streets and alleys of the city of Donnelly, Idaho, between the hours of 2:00 a.m. and 7:00 a.m. of each and every day from November 1st to April 1st.

D. It is unlawful to park a motor vehicle within a street, highway, alley or other public road right-of-way for purposes of displaying such vehicle for sale or for purposes of storage, washing, greasing, oiling or repairing, except repairs necessitated by emergency.

E. It is unlawful to park any vehicle or trailer in an officially designated, painted or signed pathway or sidewalk or fire lanes. [Ord. 254 § 1, 2021; Ord. 139 § 1, 1996.]

10.20.020 Violation – Penalty.

A. Any person convicted of a violation of this article shall be punished by a fine not to exceed $100.00. Each day that a person is in violation of this article shall constitute a separate offense. A second parking violation may result in the vehicle being towed by the contracted towing company. All towing charged shall be assessed against the vehicle owner.

B. A person found in violation of this article shall pay the penalty within 10 days of the time of the issuance of said parking violation ticket to Donnelly City Hall.

C. Whenever a vehicle is ticketed for unlawful parking, the registered owner of the same shall be presumed to have been the operator; such presumption may be overcome only by the owner’s producing another person who admits to the parking violation and pays the penalty. Article II. Parallel Parking

10.20.030 Parallel parking.

Every motor vehicle stopped or parked upon Main Street shall be so stopped or parked that the right-hand wheels of such vehicle shall be parallel to and within 18 inches of the right-hand curb or as close as practicable to the right edge of the right-hand shoulder thereof. 10.20.040 Violation – Penalty.

Any person violating this article shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine of not to exceed $100.00. [Ord. 254 § 1, 2021; Ord. 96 § 2, 1984.]
