3-7-1 STATE LICENSES REQUIRED:

Every person practicing massage therapy within the city of Garden City shall be required to be licensed by the state of Idaho, Department of Self-Governing Agencies, Bureau of Occupation Licensing, pursuant to Title 54, Chapter 40, Idaho Code. (Ord. 969-14, 7-14-2014)

3-7-2 REGISTRATION REQUIRED:

Every person practicing massage therapy within the city of Garden City shall register annually with the Garden City clerk’s office. Such registration shall include the work address of the applicant and a copy of the license provided by the state of Idaho. A registration fee will be set by resolution of the city council. (Ord. 969-14, 7-14-2014)

3-7-3 MASSAGE THERAPY ESTABLISHMENTS:

Massage therapy establishments will not be required to register with the city of Garden City. It shall be unlawful for a massage therapy establishment to employ or contract with a massage therapist who is not licensed by the state of Idaho or registered with the city. (Ord. 969-14, 7-14-2014)

3-7-4 COMPLIANCE WITH STATE LAWS:

Massage therapists shall comply with the regulations set forth in Title 54, Chapter 40, Idaho Code and the rules and regulations promulgated by the State Bureau of Occupational Licensing. (Ord. 969-14, 7-14-2014)
