UNDERTAKERS

5-120-020 Zoning—Location restriction.
5-120-010 License required.
It is unlawful for any person to maintain an undertaking establishment or to operate as an undertaker or mortician without first having obtained a license as herein provided. Such license fee shall be five hundred dollars ($500.00) annually. Applications for such licenses shall conform to the general provisions of this code on licenses. 5-120-020 Zoning—Location restriction.
It is unlawful to maintain any undertaker’s establishment in any block other than in areas zoned for business purposes. (Prior code § 5-30-2)
5-120-030 Notice to police.
It shall be the duty of every undertaker to notify the police whenever a body is brought to him or turned over to him for his services. (Prior code § 5-30-3)
5-120-040 Exhibitions.
It is unlawful for any undertaker to permit his establishment to be used for exhibition to the public of the body of any deceased person. This shall not be construed to prevent the display of a body to relatives and friends. (Prior code § 5-30-4)
