5-22-010 License required.

No person shall operate or conduct for profit any bowling alley, pin or ball alley without having first obtained a license and applicant has been found to be one of good character. (Ord. 3316 § 2 (part), 2015: prior code § 5-6-1)

5-22-020 Fee.

The annual fee for a bowling alley license shall be three hundred fifty dollars ($350.00). (Ord. 3316 § 2 (part), 2015: Ord. 3221 § 10, 2009; Ord. 1921 (part), 1972; prior code § 5-6-2)

5-22-030 Hours for operation.

No person shall keep open any bowling alley or such place of business on a Sunday except during the hours from ten a.m. to twelve midnight; and no such place shall be kept open between the hours of two a.m. and six-thirty a.m. of any week day. (Prior code § 5-6-3)

5-22-040 Minors.

Minors under the age of sixteen (16) years shall under no circumstances frequent, loiter about, go to or remain in any hall licensed hereunder at any time, unless it be upon some errand and sent by the direction and with the consent and knowledge of or accompanied by the parent, guardian or other person having the lawful custody of said minor, and it shall be unlawful for the proprietor of any hall so licensed to allow or permit any such minor to frequent, loiter about, or remain within the hall in violation of this section provided, however, that boys over the age of fourteen (14) years may be employed in such halls if the person operating or conducting the same shall have first procured the written consent of the parent or guardian or other person having lawful custody of the minor so employed. 5-22-050 Noise.

It is unlawful for any person keeping or conducting a bowling alley, pin or ball alley, to permit the patrons of the same to make loud and boisterous noises so as to disturb the peace in the vicinity. And it is unlawful for any person to make or cause any such noise in a bowling alley, ball or pin alley; or to congregate on the sidewalk or street in front of any such premises in such manner or in such numbers as to obstruct pedestrian or vehicle traffic along the street or sidewalk.
