BARBERSHOPS

5.38.010 License required.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to conduct or operate a barbershop in the village without having first obtained a license therefor.
5.38.020 Application.
Application for such license shall be made in writing to the clerk and shall state thereon the number of chairs to be used in the establishment.
5.38.030 Fee.

5.38.040 Sanitation.
Premises used for a barbershop shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition, and it is unlawful to permit waste materials of any kind to accumulate therein. It is unlawful to employ in such establishments any person afflicted with venereal or contagious disease.
5.38.050 Implements.
It is unlawful to use in any establishment used as a barbershop any implements or tools upon any person after the same have been used upon a person afflicted with any skin disease or scalp disease without sterilizing the tool or implement afterwards. It is unlawful to use any towel on any customer after the same has been used before, without having such towel sterilized and cleaned prior to such second usage.
5.38.060 Inspections.
It is the duty of the health officer or some other person designated by the president and board of trustees to inspect every establishment licensed under this chapter as often as necessary to ensure compliance with this chapter and all ordinances relative thereto.
