PAINT AND OIL DEALERS

5.86.010 License required.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to have or store any paint, shellac, varnish, kerosene, turpentine, linseed or other oils, in excess of five gallons without first securing a license therefor.
5.86.020 Fees.
The annual fees for paint and oil dealer’s licenses shall be one hundred ten dollars per year for each such paint and oil dealer whose store or other place of business occupies two thousand square feet or less of area. For paint and oil dealers whose stores or other places of business occupy in excess of two thousand square feet of area, an additional fee of twenty-eight dollars shall be added for each additional one thousand square feet of area or part thereof; provided, however, that the license fee shall in no case exceed the sum of five hundred fifty dollars. In computing square foot area, storage, office, basement and loft spaces shall be included in such computation. 5.86.030 Sanitation.
All such premises shall be kept in a clean and sanitary condition and all dirt, refuse and debris shall be removed at least once every twenty-four hours.
5.86.040 Inspections.
It shall be the duty of the fire chief to make or cause to be made such inspections as may be necessary to enforce the provisions of this chapter and the provisions of all ordinances relating to fire and health hazards applicable to such premises.
