THROUGH STREETS

10.32.010 Designated.
The following streets and parts of streets of the village are designated as through streets:
Forest View Avenue (134th Street) from the easterly line of Halsted Street (State Bond Issue Route l) to the westerly line of the Pennsylvania Railroad Company’s right-of-way.
Perry Avenue (Clark Street) between 137th Street and Forest View Avenue (134th Street).
School Street from the south line of 138th Street to the centerline of 143rd Street.
Tracy Avenue from the centerline of 143rd Street to the north line of 144th Street.
Wallace Street from the southerly line of 136th Street, extended to 138th Street.
Wentworth Avenue between the north line of 138th Street and the south line, as extended west, of that part of 137th Street lying east of Wentworth Avenue.
137th Street from the centerline of Indiana Avenue to the west line of Wentworth Avenue.
138th Street from the centerline of Indiana Avenue to the west line of Ashland Avenue.
144th Street from the east line of Halsted Street to the west line of Indiana Avenue.
146th Street from the easterly right-of-way of the Illinois Central Railroad to Indiana Avenue. (Ord. 2015-37 § 3, 2015)
10.32.020 Yielding right-of-way.
The driver of a vehicle shall stop at the entrance to a through street and shall yield the right-of-way to other vehicles which have entered the intersection or which are approaching so close on a through street as to constitute an immediate hazard unless directed otherwise by the traffic officer or a traffic-control signal.
10.32.030 Speed humps.
Speed humps consist of a rounded “hump” of compacted asphalt or other approved material which is placed on the roadway in order to encourage vehicles to slow down.
