PENALTIES

10.88.010 Fine for violation.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any provision of this title shall be fined not less than ten dollars nor more than five hundred dollars for each offense. (Ord. 2014-03 § 3, 2014)
10.88.020 Arrests.
Any person arrested for a violation of any provision of this title shall be released upon proper bail being furnished as required by law. (Ord. 2014-03 § 3, 2014)
10.88.030 Prima facie proof.
The fact that an automobile which is illegally operated or parked is registered in the name of a person shall be considered prima facie proof that such person was in control of the automobile at the time of such violation. (Ord. 2014-03 § 3, 2014)
10.88.040 Parking violations.
A. Unless specifically prohibited under the applicable section of this title, any person accused of a violation of this title may settle and compromise the claim against him or her for such illegal parking by paying to the village the applicable sum prescribed in RMC 11.02.100(B). Such payment shall be made as prescribed in the notice of violation or at the village clerk’s office, Village Hall, Riverdale, Illinois.
B. This section shall not apply to persons parking a vehicle so as to obstruct the entrance or exit of any place where police or fire department apparatus or other emergency equipment is kept or housed, or so as to block an emergency entrance to a hospital; nor shall this section apply to any person charged with parking a vehicle so as to entirely obstruct traffic in any street or alley or parking in such a way as to reduce traffic on an arterial street to one-way traffic only; nor to any person who refuses to move a vehicle illegally parked at the request of any member of the police department.
