HOSPITALIZATION – MAJOR MEDICAL FUND

3.30.010 Establishment.

(A) The City of Evansville Hospitalization – Major Medical Fund (hereafter known as “the fund”) is hereby established.

(B) The fund shall be a revolving fund. Monies remaining in the fund at the end of each year shall remain in the fund and shall not revert to any General Fund. [Ord. G-81-53, passed 12-14-81. 1962 Code, Art. 3, Ch. 27, § 1; 1982 Code § 30.370; 1983 Code § 3.30.370.]

3.30.020 Purpose.

The purpose of the fund shall be to provide hospitalization and major medical insurance coverage to participating employees of the City. [Ord. G-81-53, passed 12-14-81. 1962 Code, Art. 3, Ch. 27, § 2; 1982 Code § 30.371; 1983 Code § 3.30.371.]

3.30.030 Sources.

(A) The fund shall be composed of monies contributed by the City and its participating employees.

(B) The Common Council shall, from time to time, fix the amount to be contributed by the City and its participating employees to the fund.

(C) The City Controller is hereby authorized to:

(1) Compute the amount of contributions necessary to operate the fund.

(2) Establish a procedure for accumulating the contributions and transferring them to the fund.

(3) Develop a formula, if needed, for allocating contributions between the City and its participating employees.

3.30.040 Administration.

(A) The fund shall be managed by an Administrator to be named by the Mayor.
