DONATION FUNDS

4.24.020 Fund No. 171 – Public safety restricted donations
4.24.010 FUND NO. 131 – PARKS RESTRICTED DONATIONS.
Fund No. 131 – Parks Restricted Donations – for the receipt of restricted monetary donations, solicited or unsolicited. The donation(s) can be expended only for the purpose and under the written terms and conditions agreed to upon accepting the donation (a note in the memo field of the check is not sufficient). No further appropriation is required for the expenditure of a restricted donation for the designated purpose. However, claims must be filed and approved in the regular legal manner before disbursements can be made from the fund. Donations received without written terms and conditions are considered unrestricted donations and will be receipted into Parks Fund No. 130 and will be treated as ordinary income to fund the appropriated budget. This shall be a perpetual fund specifically for the Parks Department, until terminated by a subsequent ordinance. The disposition of any remaining funds at that time will be determined by their origin and Indiana Code pertaining to the origin of the said funds and their use. (Ord. 14.07.02, passed 8-18-2014)
4.24.020 FUND NO. 171 – PUBLIC SAFETY RESTRICTED DONATIONS.
Fund No. 171 – Public Safety Restricted Donations – for the receipt of restricted monetary donations, solicited or unsolicited. The donation(s) can be expended only for the purpose and under the written terms and conditions agreed to upon accepting the donation (a note in the memo field of the check is not sufficient). No further appropriation is required for the expenditure of a restricted donation for the designated purpose. However, claims must be filed and approved in the regular legal manner before disbursements can be made from the fund. Donations received without written terms and conditions are considered unrestricted donations and will be receipted into either the Public Safety Fund No. 170 or Law Enforcement Continuing Education Fund No. 459 and will be treated as ordinary income to fund the appropriated budget. This shall be a perpetual fund specifically for the Police Department, until terminated by a subsequent ordinance.
