1.15.010 Introductory language.

The style of all ordinances shall be, “Be it ordained by the governing body of the Village of Cimarron.” [Amended during 2014 codification; Ord. 1 § 1, 1910].

1.15.020 Publication of ordinances.

Before any ordinance, franchise, amendment or repeal thereof, enacted, granted or passed by the governing body of the Village of Cimarron shall take effect, such ordinance, franchise, amendment or repeal shall be published, title and summary only, once only in the English language in some newspaper published in the Village of Cimarron, and if no newspaper be so published therein then such ordinance, franchise, amendment or repeal shall be posted in six of the most public places within said Village, one of which said places shall be the Post Office, for at least 10 days before such ordinance, franchise, amendment or repeal shall take effect. 1.15.030 Endorsement by mayor required.

No resolution, ordinance or other legislative action of the governing body shall be valid and effective until it shall have been endorsed “APPROVED,” by the mayor with the official signature, attested by the clerk-administrator and the official seal of the Village shall have been affixed thereto.
