Chapter 12.32
STREET SWEEPING OF PRIVATE STREETS

12.32.010 Authorized.
The city manager is authorized to enter into contracts for the use of city equipment for the sweeping of private streets, subject to the following terms and conditions:
A. Such contracts shall not be entered into unless the streets which are the subject of the same meet the following conditions:
1. Are fully paved and curbed;
2. Have a minimum width of thirty-six feet and minimum length of four hundred feet;
3. Have no street surface obstructions.
B. Such contracts shall be entered into only with nonprofit homeowner’s associations, and only such associations which provide off-street parking.
C. Such contracts shall be entered into only if no private companies are available to provide the sweeping service which is the subject of the contract.
D. Such contracts shall be for a duration not to exceed one year, but may be renewed if all conditions of this chapter are met at the time of renewal.
E. Such contracts shall provide for payment to the city of all costs incurred in the provision of said service, as determined by the city manager, including costs of operation, capitalization and administration of the service and contract. (Ord. 1969 §1(part), 2013; Ord. 1633 §1, 1990).
