ADVISORY ELECTIONS

The council may submit advisory questions to the voters of the city. Advisory questions may be used to test the opinions of the voters of the city on issues presented by the council. The results are advisory only and have no legal binding effect. [Ord. 59 § 1, 1986].
2.65.020 Election dates.
Advisory questions may be included on a ballot submitted in a general or special election. [Ord. 59 § 2, 1986].
2.65.030 Election statutes applicable.
All statutory provisions relating to notices, ballot form and general conduct of elections shall apply to advisory questions submitted to the voters of the city. [Ord. 59 § 3, 1986].
