Chapter 9.08
CURFEW
Sections:
9.08.010 Curfew of minors.
No minor shall be in or upon any street, highway, park, alley or other public place between the hours of 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. of the following morning, unless:
A. Such minor is accompanied by a parent, guardian or other person 18 years of age or over and authorized by the parent or by law to have care and custody of the minor;
B. Such minor is then engaged in a lawful pursuit or activity which requires the presence of the minor in such public places during the hours specified in this section;
C. The minor is emancipated pursuant to ORS 419B.550 to 419B.558;
D. The minor is upon an emergency errand directed by his or her parent or guardian or other adult person having the care and custody of the minor;
E. The minor is returning directly home from a meeting, entertainment, recreational activity or dance; or
F. The minor is returning home from work or place of employment. [Ord. 2017-01 § 2]
9.08.020 Penalties.
Any minor violating the provisions of this chapter may be cited and fined in an amount of not more than $250.00, and remanded to the authority of the Jackson County juvenile department. [Ord. 2017-01 § 2].
