10.24.010 Penalties.
A. Any person violating any of the provisions of this title shall, upon conviction thereof, be subject to a fine not to exceed $300.00, plus all applicable fees and assessments.
B. In addition, bicycles may be impounded for a period not to exceed 10 days. [Ord. 2011-03 § 53; Ord. 2000-15 § 2; Ord. 6-1 § 59, 1969].
10.24.020 Illegal cancellation of traffic citations.
It shall be unlawful for any person to cancel or solicit the cancellation of any traffic citation without the approval of the municipal judge. [Ord. 2011-03 § 54; Ord. 6-1 § 60, 1969].
10.24.030 Traffic safety equipment fee.
This section creates a traffic safety equipment fee dedicated to replace aging and inoperative equipment used by the police department to enforce the traffic laws of the state of Oregon and the ordinances of the city of Eagle Point. This section creates a $20.00 assessment on all violations of the Oregon Traffic Code and city ordinances prosecuted by the Eagle Point municipal court and allows for the municipal court to collect the assessment and transfer those monies collected to the traffic safety equipment fund.
