AGRICULTURAL ZONE (AG)

In an AG zone, only the following uses and their accessory uses are permitted outright:
A. Single-family dwellings provided in conjunction with a farm use and meeting the following criteria:
1. Is compatible with farm uses described in ORS 215.203(2);
2. Is consistent with the purpose of the zoning district and ORS 215.243;
3. Does not interfere seriously with accepted farming practices on adjacent lands devoted to farm use;
4. Does not materially alter the stability of the overall land use pattern of the area;
5. Is situated upon land generally unsuitable for the production of farm crops or livestock, considering the terrain, adverse soil or land condition, drainage and flooding, vegetation, location and size of tract.
B. Churches.
C. Public or private schools.
D. Farm uses which mean the current employment of land for the primary purpose of obtaining a profit in money by raising, harvesting and selling crops or by the feeding, breeding, management and sale of, or the produce of, livestock, poultry, fur-bearing animals or honeybees or for dairying and the sale of dairy products or any other agricultural or horticultural use or animal husbandry or any combination thereof, including the preparation and storage of the products raised on such land for human use and animal use and disposal by marketing or otherwise, and for growing cultured Christmas trees. Current employment of land for farm use includes those described in ORS 215.203(2)(b). [Ord. 950 § 8(1 – 4), 1991.]
17.75.020 Conditional uses.
The following uses may be permitted subject to the provisions of Chapter 17.130 JCMC:
A. Parks, playgrounds or community centers owned and operated by a governmental agency;
B. Golf courses, except driving tees or ranges, miniature courses, and similar uses operated for commercial purposes;
C. Commercial activities which are in conjunction with farm use. [Ord. 950 § 8(5), 1991.]
17.75.030 Height.
No building or structure, nor the enlargement of any building or structure, shall be hereafter erected or maintained to exceed 35 feet in height when located within 150 feet of a residential zone. [Ord. 950 § 8(6), 1991.]
17.75.040 Lot size.
Lot size shall be no less than that identified by Lane County. [Ord. 950 § 8(7), 1991.]
