ALCOHOL WITHIN SILVERTON RESERVOIR

8.55.030 Prohibitions on alcoholic beverages.
8.55.010 Title.
This chapter shall be known as the Silverton Reservoir alcohol ordinance and may be so cited and pleaded. [Ord. 1235 § 1, 2006.]
8.55.020 Policy and scope.
The city of Silverton owns a 65-acre facility outside of the city boundaries known as the Silverton Reservoir property, a portion of which has been designated by the city as a marine park. This property, including the waters of the reservoir, through the State Marine Board, are under the jurisdiction of Marion County. Alcohol consumption on the property has created public safety problems. The city has adopted an ordinance prohibiting certain activities within the marine park including the use and possession of alcoholic beverages and, by resolution, has requested that the county adopt an ordinance establishing a prohibition against the use and possession of alcoholic beverages within the confines of the Silverton Reservoir property, including the waterways within the property. 8.55.030 Prohibitions on alcoholic beverages.
It is prohibited for any person to possess or consume alcoholic beverages on or within the boundaries of the Silverton Reservoir property, including the waterways within the property. [Ord. 1235 § 3, 2006.]
8.55.040 Penalties.
Violation of this chapter is considered a Class A violation as provided in ORS Chapter 153. Enforcement shall be accomplished through Chapter 1.25 MCC. [Ord. 1235 § 4, 2006.]
