In accordance with Title 10, Chapter 3, Part 9, Utah Code Annotated 1953, the mayor, with the advice and consent of the city council, shall appoint a qualified person to the offices of city recorder, city treasurer, city attorney, city engineer and director of legislative affairs. If Eagle Mountain City creates a municipal fire or police department, the police chief and fire chief shall also be appointed officers. All appointed officers shall continue in office until their successors are appointed and qualified. All appointments of officers designated herein shall follow the process as outlined in Chapter 2.27 EMMC, Appointment Process. [Ord. O-06-2023 § 2 (Exh. A); Ord. O-30-2022 § 2 (Exh. A)].
