COMPENSATION SCHEDULE OF STATUTORY OFFICERS

2.20.010 Definition.
“Statutory officer” means the assistant city manager/city recorder, city treasurer, city attorney, or city engineer of Eagle Mountain City. [Ord. O-25-2024 § 2 (Exh. A)].
2.20.020 Compensation schedule of statutory officers.
A. Statutory officers shall be paid biweekly in accordance with the duly adopted policies and procedures of the Eagle Mountain City Employee Policies and Procedures Manual and in the same manner as other Eagle Mountain City employees.
B. The biweekly pay of statutory officers shall fall within the compensation range as set forth in this chapter, as amended from time to time.
C. It is anticipated that statutory officers shall receive merit increases and cost of living adjustments consistent with that of other Eagle Mountain City employees. The amount of any compensation increase shall be determined with the annual budget or during a budget amendment. In no event shall the compensation of a statutory officer exceed the compensation range established in this section.
D. The biweekly compensation range of the statutory officers shall be as follows:
1. City attorney – $3,906.31 – $5,859.50.
2. City engineer – $4,083.69 – $6,125.50.
3. City recorder – $4,170.35 – $6,255.50.
4. City treasurer – $2,386.15 – $3,579.19.

2.20.030 Total remuneration.
The compensation schedule established for a statutory officer shall represent the base pay rate for full-time employment in the office but shall not be considered as including reimbursement for official travel or other official expenses. The compensation schedule established does not include and shall not be interpreted to prevent the payment to or on behalf of employees of funds for retirement benefits, medical insurance, or any other benefit approved by the city council. The compensation schedule shall also not include or be interpreted to prevent the payment of overtime, performance bonuses, awards, and/or other authorized work-related allowances. All such reimbursements for official travel or expenses, benefits, overtime, bonuses, awards, and/or other authorized work-related allowances are in addition to the compensation allowed pursuant to this chapter.
