COMPENSATION OF ELECTED OFFICIALS

2.10.010 Compensation for elected officials.

A.    Compensation for all elected officials of the town shall be fixed according to the following schedule:

Mayor: $1,600.00 per month.

Council members: $256.29 per month. [Ord. 20-6-11 § 2.]

2.10.020 Compensation payment and adjustments.

A.    Payment. The treasurer shall pay the elected officials at the end of each month on the regularly specified payday by delivery of a check drawn upon the municipal checking account, or the elected officials personally, or by mailing the check to the elected official at his or her home, postage prepaid. Payment can also be by direct deposit to the elected official’s banking account.

B.    Per Diem. The mayor shall receive mileage and per diem for all trips approved by the governing body according to the schedules adopted by the Utah Department of Finance.

C.    Effective Date. This chapter shall take effect on the thirtieth day after the final passage or the twentieth day after publication or posting, whichever occurs last. [Ord. 20-6-11 § 2.]
