OFFENSES AGAINST THE PERSON
Sections:
9.40.010 Assault.
(1) Assault is:
(a) An attempt with unlawful force or violence to do bodily injury to another; or
(b) A threat accompanied by a show of immediate force or violence to do bodily injury to another.
(2) Assault is a class B misdemeanor. [Ord. 87-34 § 13-05-002, 1987.]
9.40.020 Harassment.
(1) A person is guilty of harassment if, with intent to frighten or harass another, he communicates in writing a threat to commit any violent felony.
(2) Harassment is a class C misdemeanor. [Ord. 87-34 § 13-05-006, 1987.]
9.40.030 Terroristic threat.
(1) A person commits terroristic threat if he threatens to commit any offense involving violence with intent:
(a) To cause action of any sort by an official or volunteer agency organized to deal with emergencies; or
(b) To place a person in fear of imminent serious bodily injury; or
(c) To prevent or interrupt the occupation of a place of assembly, aircraft, automobile, or other form of conveyance, but shall not include a facility of public transportation operated by a common carrier.
(2) Terroristic threat is a class B misdemeanor. [Ord. 87-34 § 13-05-007, 1987.]
9.40.040 Unlawful detention.
(1) A person commits unlawful detention if he knowingly restrains another unlawfully so as to interfere substantially with his liberty.
(2) Unlawful detention is a class B misdemeanor. [Ord. 87-34 § 13-05-012, 1987.]
