15.15.010 Purpose of IEBC.
The purpose of the International Existing Building Code (IEBC) is to prescribe regulations governing and regulating the repair, alteration, change of occupancy, abatement of dangerous buildings, and relocation of existing buildings, providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees. 15.15.015 Adoption of building code.
There is hereby adopted as the International Existing Building Code (IEBC) by Naples City, for the purpose of prescribing regulations governing and regulating the repair, alteration, change of occupancy, abatement of dangerous buildings, and relocation of existing buildings, providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said IEBC on file in the office of Naples City are hereby referred to, adopted and made part hereof, the Naples City building code ordinances. 15.15.040 Adoption of fee schedule.
Fees applicable to this code shall be part of the consolidated fee schedule adopted by the city council. [Ord. 10-125, 2010.]
15.15.050 Repealer.
All former IEBC ordinances or parts thereof, conflicting or inconsistent with the provisions of this chapter or of the code are hereby repealed. [Ord. 10-125, 2010.]
15.15.060 Severability.
The provisions of this chapter shall be severable and if any provision thereof or the application of such provisions under any circumstances is held invalid it shall not affect the validity of other provisions of this chapter or the application in a different circumstance. Naples City council hereby declares that it would have passed this chapter, and each section, subsection, clause or phase thereof irrespective of the fact that any one or more sections, subsections, sentences, clauses and phrases be declared unconstitutional. 15.15.070 Violation of chapter.
Any violation of this chapter shall be a class B misdemeanor. Each day that the violation continues shall be separate and additional offense. [Ord. 10-125, 2010.]
15.15.080 Effective date.
The ordinance codified in this chapter shall become effective immediately upon publication or posting as set forth by state law. [Ord. 10-125, 2010.]
