AD HOC COMMISSIONS

5A-7-101 Ad Hoc Commissions May Be Established.
The Mayor and City Council reserve the right to call ad hoc commissions for special and specific purposes. (Ord. No. 04-2022 § 1 (Exh. A), 03/01/2022)
5A-7-102 Term of Office.
Each member of an ad hoc commission, except the City Council members assigned to the commission, shall serve for a term to be established by the Mayor and Council in calling the commission. (Ord. No. 04-2022 § 1 (Exh. A), 03/01/2022)
5A-7-103 Qualifications.
All members of the ad hoc commissions shall be residents of Springville. (Ord. No. 04-2022 § 1 (Exh. A), 03/01/2022)
5A-7-104 Organization.
An ad hoc commission shall elect its own chair and vice-chair from its membership and shall appoint all other officers necessary. An ad hoc commission should meet as often as necessary to conduct business. Minutes of board meetings shall be recorded in accordance with Section 52-4-203, Utah Code Annotated 1953, as amended. 5A-7-105 Powers and Duties.
Any ad hoc commission shall be an advisory board only. Duties of the ad hoc commission shall be established by the Mayor and City Council upon calling an ad hoc commission. (Ord. No. 04-2022 § 1 (Exh. A), 03/01/2022)
5A-7-106 Subcommissions Authorized.
Upon a majority vote of the members of an ad hoc commission, subcommissions may be established to oversee specific areas of concern to the commission. In authorizing a subcommission, the commission should establish rules and procedures for members, terms, and duties of the subcommission. All subcommission members shall be members of the commission.
