8.40.010 Changes and amendments.
This subdivision title may be amended from time to time by the Syracuse City Council after public notice has been given in accordance with the City Municipal Code and state statute, but all proposed amendments shall be first proposed to the Planning Commission for its recommendation, which shall be returned to the Syracuse City Council within 30 days. Failure of the Planning Commission to submit its recommendations within the prescribed time shall be deemed approval by such commission of the proposed change or amendment. The Syracuse City Council may overrule the Planning Commission’s recommendation by a majority vote of its members. [Ord. 13-02 § 1 (Exhibit); amended 1997; Code 1971 § 8-8-1.]
8.40.020 Repeal of inconsistent ordinances, rules, and regulations.
All ordinances, rules and regulations, or parts thereof, of Syracuse City which are repugnant to or inconsistent or in conflict with this title are hereby repealed. [Ord. 13-02 § 1 (Exhibit); amended 1997; Code 1971 § 8-8-3. Formerly 8.40.030.]
8.40.030 Severability.
If any provision of this chapter or its application to any person or circumstance is held to be invalid by a court of competent jurisdiction, the invalidity does not affect other provisions or applications of this chapter which can be given independent effect.
