10.12.010 12th Avenue restrictions.

It is unlawful for any person to stand or park a vehicle on the north side of 12th Avenue between King Street and Lawson Street except to pick up or discharge passengers when signs are erected announcing such prohibition. (Ord. 201 § 2, 1978)

10.12.020 Parking – More than 24 hours prohibited.

No person shall park any vehicle on any public street or alley in the City for a continuous period in excess of 24 hours. (Ord. 100 § 1, 1966)

10.12.030 Parking – Blocking alley.

No person shall park a vehicle within an alley in such manner as to prevent the free passage of other vehicles through the alley. (Ord. 100 § 4, 1966)

10.12.040 Parking – Signposting of hazardous or congested areas.

When official signs are erected at hazardous or congested places, no person shall stop, stand or park a vehicle in such designated place. (Ord. 100 § 3, 1966)

10.12.050 Parking – Snow removal.

It is unlawful for any person to park or leave parked any vehicle upon any public street after personal notice is received by that person that the City intends to remove snow from such street. (Ord. 100 § 5, 1966)

10.12.060 Parking – For display or repairs – Restrictions.

No person shall stand or park a vehicle upon any street or alley for the principal purpose of displaying such vehicle for sale or for advertising purposes, or for repairing or greasing such vehicle except repairs necessitated by an emergency. (Ord. 100 § 2, 1966)

10.12.070 Other provisions applicable when.

The provisions of this chapter imposing time limits on parking shall not relieve any person from the duty to observe other and more restrictive provisions prohibiting or limiting the stopping, standing or parking of vehicles. (Ord. 100 § 9, 1966)

10.12.080 Impoundment authorized when – Procedures.

Whenever a Peace Officer finds a vehicle unattended in such a position that it constitutes an obstruction to traffic, blocks the use of a fire hydrant, provides a danger to travel, or is parked in violation of the provisions of this chapter, he is authorized to remove and tow away said vehicle or have the same removed and towed away by a commercial towing service. Vehicles impounded for illegal parking may be placed in a storage garage and shall be restored to the owner upon satisfactory proof of ownership and the payment of towing and storage charges. 10.12.090 Ownership of vehicle constitutes liability.

In any prosecution charging a violation of any law or ordinance governing parking of vehicles, proof that the defendant named in the complaint was at the time of such parking the registered owner of such vehicle constitutes a presumption that the registered owner of such vehicle was the person who parked such vehicle at the point where, and for the time which, such violation occurred. (Ord. 100 § 7, 1966)

10.12.100 Violation – Misdemeanor.

Violation of any of the provisions of this chapter constitutes a misdemeanor. (Ord. 100 § 8, 1966)
