SPEED LIMITS

10.08.010 Twenty-five mile per hour limit on designated portions of state highway.
It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to operate same inside the incorporated limits of the city at a speed in excess of twenty-five miles per hour on the following described section of state highway:
State Route 173 (Bridge Street) from Mile Post 10.93, south corporate limits, at the north pavement seat of the Columbia River Bridge northerly to Mile Post 11.99 at the intersection of State Route 97, a distance of 1.06 miles. (Ord. 305 § 3, 1971)
10.08.020 Forty mile per hour limit on designated portions of state highway.
It shall be unlawful for the operator of any vehicles to operate same inside the incorporated limits of the city of Brewster at a speed in excess of forty miles per hour on the following described section of state highway:
State Route 97 from Mile Post 259.96 at the east corporate limits northeasterly to Mile Post 261.31 at the intersection of Highway 97 and Unger Road, a distance of 1.35 miles. (Ord. 821 § 1, 2010: Ord. 814 § 1, 2009: Ord. 324 § 1, 1973)
10.08.030 Sixty mile per hour limit on designated portions of state highway.
It is unlawful for the operator of any vehicle to operate same inside the incorporated limits of the city at a speed in excess of sixty miles per hour on the following described section of state highway:
State Route 97 from Mile Post 261.00 at the intersection of Sixth Street Northeast and State Way Northeast northeasterly to Mile Post 261.29 at the west corporate limits, a distance of 0.29 mile. (Ord. 305 § 2, 1971)
10.08.040 Ten mile per hour limit in mobile home park or alleyway.
It shall be unlawful to operate any motor driven vehicle at a speed in excess of ten miles per hour within the boundaries of any mobile home park or upon any alleyway. (Ord. 553 § 9, 1992; Ord. 500 §§ 1, 2, 1988)
10.08.050 Violation—Penalty.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction and on conviction thereof shall be fined in accordance with state-determined bail. (Ord. 814 § 2, 2009: Ord. 553 § 10, 1992)
