2.44.010 Limit on number of firemen.
The volunteer fire department personnel of the city shall not at any time exceed twenty-five firemen for each one thousand of population, or fraction thereof the city’s population. (Ord. 390 § 3, 1990)
2.44.020 Benefits.
On or after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this chapter, all firemen, including volunteer and paid, shall be entitled to the benefits of the death and disability and pension and retirement provision provided by Chapter 261 of the Laws of 1945 of the State of Washington. (Ord. 390 § 1, 1990)
2.44.030 Duties of city clerk-treasurer.
The city clerk-treasurer shall be the secretary-treasurer of the board of trustees created by said act and shall enroll each fireman under the death and disability provisions of said law; and when requested in writing by a fireman shall enroll each fireman making the request under the pension and retirement provision of said law.
