10.08.010 Huntington Avenue.

A. The speed limit on Huntington Avenue from the westerly terminus of the Interstate 5 southbound off ramp intersecting Huntington Avenue to milepost 0.40 of State Highway 504, commonly known as Spirit Lake Memorial Highway, is set at a maximum speed limit of 35 miles per hour.

B. The speed limit on Huntington Avenue South from the southern intersection at Bond Road extending northerly for eight-tenths of a mile toward the Rock is set at a maximum speed limit of 40 miles per hour; thereafter the speed limit shall be reduced to 25 miles per hour.

C. Truck traffic on Larsen Lane SW is set at a maximum of 20 miles per hour. This speed limit applies to both loaded and unloaded trucks.

10.08.015 Cowlitz Street West.

The speed limit on Cowlitz Street West is set at a maximum speed limit of 15 miles per hour. [Ord. 2016-07 § 1, 2016; Ord. 2012-02 § 1, 2012].

10.08.020 State Highway 504.

A. The speed limit on State Highway 504, commonly known as Spirit Lake Memorial Highway, from milepost 0.40 to the city limits, is set at a maximum speed limit of 50 miles per hour.

B. Exceeding the posted speed limit on the roadway shall be a traffic infraction. [Ord. 2016-07 § 1, 2016; Ord. 2012-02 § 1, 2012; Ord. 572 § 2, 1984; Ord. 442 §§ 1, 2, 1976].

10.08.025 State Highway 411 (PH-10 Road).

A. The speed limit on State Highway 411, commonly known as PH-10 Road, shall be set at 25 miles per hour to milepost 12.30.

B. Exceeding the posted speed limit on the roadway shall be a traffic infraction. [Ord. 2016-07 § 1, 2016.]

10.08.026 State Highway 411 (Westside Highway).

A. The speed limit on State Highway 411, commonly known as Westside Highway, between milepost 12.01 and milepost 11.86, located within city limits, shall be set at 35 miles per hour.

B. Exceeding the posted speed limit on the roadway shall be a traffic infraction. [Ord. 2016-10 § 1, 2016.]

10.08.030 Trains.

A. Maximum Speed. Beginning with the effective date of the ordinance codified in this section, freight and passenger trains passing through the city shall not exceed a speed limit of 50 miles per hour or such lower speed as is reasonable and prudent under the circumstances.
