INFORMATION SERVICES FUND

3.94.010 Information services fund created.

There is hereby created and established a special fund to be known and designated as the “information services fund,” Fund 502, to be used as an internal service fund to be expended for salaries, wages, and operational expenses required to provide information services for the city. (Ord. 2392 § 1, 2017).

3.94.020 Fund to be under direction of city manager.

The information services fund shall be under the direction of the city manager. (Ord. 2392 § 2, 2017).

3.94.030 Charges.

The charges for the information services fund shall be established during the city budget development process. Such rates shall be reviewed and, if need be, revised periodically to meet the changing costs. (Ord. 2392 § 3, 2017).

3.94.040 Deposits not to be transferred.

All moneys deposited in said fund and not expended as provided herein shall remain in said fund from year to year and shall not be transferred to any other fund or expended for any purpose whatsoever, except as is herein provided; however, any surplus moneys in the fund may be invested in accordance with investment practices of the city. (Ord. 2392 § 4, 2017).

3.94.050 Transfer of beginning cash.

Effective January 1, 2018, the city general fund, city light fund, water fund, wastewater fund, and stormwater fund will transfer unrestricted fund balance as follows for beginning cash in the information services fund:

3.94.060 Abolishment of fund.

If, at any time hereafter, the city council shall abolish said information services fund or part thereof, then all moneys on deposit therein shall revert to the several funds and departments participating in the fund. (Ord. 2392 § 6, 2017).
