EXCESSIVE FORCE POLICY

1.388.010 Excessive force by local law enforcement agencies.
It is the policy of the county that excessive force by local law enforcement agencies shall not be used against individuals engaged in lawful and nonviolent civil rights demonstrations within the county boundaries. (Res. 2014-109 § 1, 11/3/2014).
1.388.020 Barring of entrance or exit.
It is the policy of the county to enforce applicable state and local laws against the physical barring of an entrance to or exit from a facility or location which is the subject of nonviolent civil rights demonstrations within its jurisdiction. (Res. 2014-109 § 2, 11/3/2014).
1.388.030 Coordination with sheriff.
The county commissioner will coordinate with the county sheriff to implement this chapter by amending applicable sheriff’s office procedures. (Res. 2014-109 § 3, 11/3/2014).
