TRI-COUNTY HORTICULTURAL PEST AND DISEASE BOARD

1.68.010 Created.
A tri-county horticultural pest and disease board for Chelan County is created, all as provided by the laws of the state of Washington, together with Douglas and Okanogan Counties upon resolution duly enacted by those counties. (Res. 2021-31 § 2, 3/8/21; Res. 626-E, February 16, 1970 at Vol. D page 193).
1.68.020 Assessment.
(1) The Chelan-Douglas horticultural pest and disease control assessment per RCW 15.09.131 for 2020-2021 shall be three dollars and fifteen cents per parcel of all taxable lands plus one dollar per acre for all private taxable lands with rootstock improvements within Chelan County; miscellaneous nonclassified lands are exempt, as are all other lands with a classification of nonassessed lands;
(2) This assessment will be instituted in the tax year 2020 and shall be adjusted to three dollars and thirty cents per parcel for tax years 2022-2023 and to three dollars and fifty cents per parcel for tax years 2024-2025 continuing with the one dollar per acre for all private taxable lands with rootstock improvements;
(3) This assessment shall extend to all land within Chelan County, both incorporated and unincorporated, except as provided in this section; and
(4) The Chelan County assessor and the Chelan County treasurer are hereby directed to perform the necessary duties to comply with this section and RCW 15.09.135. (Res. 2019-124, 11/26/19).
1.68.030 Agent.
The Chelan County pest board agent shall be the pest board agent for the tri-county horticultural pest and disease board. (Res. 2021-31 § 4, 3/8/21).
