PERMIT FEES FOR DISTRESSED PERSONS*

3.16.010 Definitions.
“Distressed persons” are those persons who are aged, poor and infirmed and have clearly suffered a severe loss of property due to fire, flooding or other acts of God, regardless of age and payment of a permit fee would present a severe hardship. (Res. 83-8 § 1, 1/18/83).
3.16.020 Building permit fees.
(a) Permit fees shall be waived for all distressed persons who require building permits to repair damage to homes or other buildings, or replacement thereof, that was caused by fire, flooding, or other acts of God, as determined by the building official.
(b) There will be no waiver of building permit fees for any new construction such as new residences, outbuildings, etc., or any remodeling thereof, except as required by subsection (a) of this section. (Res. 83-8 § 2, 1/18/83).
3.16.030 Mobile home fees.
(a) Permit fees shall be waived for the replacement of mobile homes for all distressed persons that have lost their homes, or other buildings, through fire, flooding, or other acts of God and for which a permit is required.
(b) There will be no waiver of mobile home fees for the original placement of mobile homes. (Res. 83-8 § 3, 1/18/83).
