2.48A.010 Purpose and declaration of policy.

The purpose of this chapter is to establish a local emergency management organization and set out and clarify the authority of the county and of its officers with regard to local, regional and national emergency and disaster situations. It is intended, in conformity with Article 11, Section 11 of the Washington State Constitution and with Chapter 38.52 RCW, to grant the broadest power permitted by constitutional and statutory authority to preserve the public health, safety and welfare.
