2.75.030 Function of agricultural advisory commission.

(1)    The agricultural advisory commission shall advise and make policy recommendations to the Clark County manager, the Clark County council, the Clark County planning commission, and other appropriate boards and commissions on issues of significance to or that impact the agricultural community.

(2)    The agricultural advisory commission’s functions are as follows:

(a)    Review and provide recommendations on the comprehensive plan, zoning, subarea plans, and county code amendments that directly affect lands or agricultural activities, or lands of agricultural significance; and

(b)    Analyze and develop recommendations that will assist the county in addressing other issues that affect agriculture at the county, regional, state and federal levels; and

(c)    Upon request of the director of community planning, the commission may assist the department by providing review and comment on comprehensive planning and zoning related to issues in and adjacent to designated agricultural land; and

(d)    Assist the county and make recommendations to establish, promote, and implement a comprehensive program of agricultural protection and preservation. (Sec. 3 of Ord. 2024-11-19)
