2.75.050 Meetings of the commission.
(1) The chair of the commission, or, in their absence, the vice chair, shall preside at all meetings of the commission, and shall conduct the meeting reasonably, using Robert’s Rules of Order as a nonbinding guide.
(2) A quorum of the commission for the purpose of transacting business shall be a majority of voting members currently appointed, to be no less than five (5).
(3) Meetings of the commission are subject to the Washington Open Public Meetings Act, and they must be open and accessible to the public.
(4) In consultation with the commission chair, and subject to the approval of the commission, commission staff shall create an agenda for each commission meeting. An open session to take public comment on agricultural issues shall be on the agenda of every meeting of the commission. Comments by members of the public are limited to three (3) minutes total, except for invited presentations to the commission.
(5) Written records of the meetings, resolutions, findings, and recommendations shall be kept by commission staff, and shall be available to the public in accordance with the Washington Public Records Act. (Sec. 5 of Ord. 2024-11-19)
