6.120.020 Standby personnel.
Pursuant to the authorization of the fire code, when the fire marshal requires county personnel to serve in a standby capacity the applicant, owner, lessee or other person responsible for the event requiring the standby personnel shall pay such personnel at the rate of fifty dollars ($50) per hour, per person, or the actual costs of providing the personnel, whichever is greater. The fire marshal shall be authorized to require advance payment of standby costs as a condition of a permit or any other approval for such events. Where actual costs differ form advance payments the fire marshal shall either collect additional amounts from or refund excess payments to responsible parties. (Sec. 30 of Ord. 1997-12-46)
