7.14.100 Establishment of a Clark County vegetation management department.

Pursuant to RCW 17.10.060, the county shall employ a vegetation management department, including a noxious weed board coordinator and staff necessary for administration of the county’s noxious weed control program, pursuant to Chapter 17.10 RCW, including, but not limited to:

(1)    Management of the annual program of work which includes the following duties and responsibilities:

(a)    Supervision of the inspection of land to determine the presence of noxious weeds;

(b)    Preparation of the annual program and preliminary budget for approval by the board of county councilors for Clark County.

(2)    The noxious weed board coordinator is authorized to issue notices of civil infractions for violations of the noxious weed control regulations.

(3)    Procedures for handling notices of civil infractions shall be governed by RCW 17.10.180 and Section 7.14.090.

(4)    Civil penalties shall be assessed according to Table 32.04.050-1. (Res. dated 3/6/95; amended by Sec. 3 of Ord. 2009-10-18; amended by Sec. 8 of Ord. 2014-01-08; amended by Sec. 5 of Ord. 2018-01-09)
