14.05.050 Severability.

If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or other portion of this chapter or the International Building Code as amended by the state of Washington, or its application to this chapter or any other person or circumstance is, for any reason, held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this chapter. The board of county councilors declares that it would have passed the ordinance approving this chapter, and each section, subsection or portion thereof, irrespective of the fact that any one or more of the other portions be declared invalid or unconstitutional.
