14.12.143 IMC 801.2 amended.

Section 801.2 of the IMC is amended to include the following:

Wood burning appliances—chimney inspection.

The building official may require the permit applicant for a newly installed wood burning stove or fire place insert to obtain a written report from a licensed masonry contractor certifying that the chimney serving such appliance is safe for the intended use.
