14.20.080 Disinfection.
(1) A disinfection process or procedure shall be used at all pools for the purpose of insuring continuous disinfection of the water throughout the pool during the period the pool is available for use.
(2) When free chlorine or chlorine compounds are used as the disinfectant, the water in the pool at all times when in use shall contain a free chlorine residual of not less than 0.4 parts per million as measured by the D.P.D. test method, or shall contain a free chlorine residual of a value to be determined by Clark County public health under its rules, regulations and standards.
(3) When chlorinated cyanurates are used as the disinfecting agent, the free residual chlorine content of the pool shall not fall below .7 ppm nor exceed 1.5 ppm. The concentration of cyanuric acid in the pool shall not exceed one hundred (100) ppm.
(4) Disinfection by other than chlorine or chlorine compounds may be used, if approved by Clark County public health and if such disinfection process or procedure will permit maintenance of a water quality in compliance with the requirements as outlined in Section 14.20.070 of this chapter.
