16.16.050 Enforcement.

The sheriff shall have primary enforcement responsibility for all sections of this chapter. The sheriff shall have the authority to stop and board any vessel subject to this title for the purpose of inspection or determining compliance herewith and is further empowered to issue a summons for appearance under this title or other provisions of law or to arrest violators and impound vessels where necessary to carry out the purposes hereof.
