16.24.050 Permit.
Within fifteen (15) days after receiving an application for a permit if the parks and recreation manager or designee determines that all requirements of this chapter have been met and that the issuance of a permit would be in the best interest of the county, considering all impacts of the event on the affected residents of the county including, but not limited to, noise, water and air pollution, possible damage to public and private property and danger to persons, the parks and recreation manager or designee shall issue a permit for the event. Such permit shall be issued subject to the conditions that the applicant will fulfill the provisions specified in the application and any conditions imposed by the parks and recreation manager or designee. The parks and recreation manager or designee may require, if other adequate provisions are not made, patrol of such area by officers and equipment of the sheriff’s office, in which event an additional fee for each sheriff’s officer, vehicle and/or vessel assigned to such patrol shall be paid to the county. This fee shall be based on current operating expenses.
The matter will be referred to the board for review under the following circumstances: if the parks and recreation manager or designee determines that the application should not be granted; or the applicant challenges those conditions upon which issuance is based.
