PUBLIC ACCESS TO UNIFORM CODES

2.13.010 Purpose.
Pursuant to Chapter 42.56 RCW, it is the purpose of this chapter to allow for any uniform code adopted by reference by the city and on file in the office of the clerk to be on loan to any department of the city for a period not to exceed 12 months. (Ord. 991 NS § 1, 1988).
2.13.020 Possession.
The city clerk shall retain permanent possession of the codes, and shall maintain a record indicating which department may have temporarily borrowed any code and the date thereof, and further indicating the individual responsible for the volume(s) borrowed. (Ord. 991 NS § 1, 1988).
2.13.030 Maintenance.
Any department borrowing a code as provided herein shall maintain the volume(s) in its original condition and shall make the same available to the public or any other entity in the same manner as would be required by law of the city clerk. (Ord. 991 NS § 1, 1988).
2.13.040 Loss or destruction.
Any loss or destruction of a code while temporarily in the possession of another department shall be the responsibility of said department, and said department shall immediately replace same with costs of such replacement to be paid by said department. (Ord. 991 NS § 1, 1988).
2.13.050 Renewal.
Nothing herein shall prevent a department from renewing the loan of a code at the termination of any period. (Ord. 991 NS § 1, 1988).
