9.60.010 Findings and purpose.

The city has established a Drug Abuse Resistance Education program for the youth of the community. The overall success of this program will be the additional support necessary to improve and foster the curriculum. (Ord. 1028 NS, 1990).

9.60.020 Procedure for voluntary contributions.

A. Persons who desire to voluntarily contribute to the support of the D.A.R.E. program shall be entitled to do so by indicating the amount of such contribution on the monthly municipal utilities bill, and all moneys received by the city treasurer in payment of said bills shall be deposited into the D.A.R.E. account to be separately accounted for. The moneys shall then be used for the support and funding of the city’s D.A.R.E. program.

B. In order to effectuate the provisions of this chapter, the treasurer is directed to amend and revise the monthly municipal utilities bill in such order to enable individuals or persons desiring to make such contribution to indicate the same thereon and the amount of such contribution.
