WATER SYSTEM DEVELOPMENT FEES

13.13.010 Fees established – Payment required.
There is created and established a water system development fee. All persons, districts, or corporations applying for a water tap and meter upon the city water system will be required to pay a water system development fee. (Ord. 1456 § 1, 2010; Ord. 1045 NS § 1, 1992).
13.13.011 Water development – Application requirements.
Applications for water system development will show site detail, water location, and size. (Ord. 1456 § 1, 2010).
13.13.020 Fees – Separate from other charges.
The water system development fee shall be separate and in addition to any charges by the water department for parts, materials, labor, or excavation. (Ord. 1456 § 1, 2010; Ord. 1045 NS § 3, 1992).
13.13.030 Fees to be paid in advance.
Water system development fees shall be paid in advance along with tap, meter, and street repair charges before any connection to the city water system is made. (Ord. 1456 § 1, 2010; Ord. 1045 NS § 3, 1992).
13.13.031 Deposits for street repair.
Street repair deposits will be separate from water system development fees. Street repair deposits may be refundable (or portion thereof) when street or right-of-way is repaired back to at least its original condition. (Ord. 1456 § 1, 2010).
13.13.032 Inspection requirements.
All water connections, fittings, pipes and workmanship shall be inspected and approved by the city water/sewer department before any pipe, fittings or connections are covered. (Ord. 1456 § 1, 2010).
13.13.033 Construction costs.
All construction and construction costs are to be performed and/or paid by the applicant. (Ord. 1456 § 1, 2010).
13.13.040 Connection to system – Authorized personnel.
All connections to the city’s water system will be performed only by qualified city water department personnel unless specifically authorized and approved by the water department. (Ord. 1045 NS § 4, 1992).
13.13.050 Connection to system – Fees.

B. Charges for sizes in excess of four inches will be determined by the city council.
C. All additional units, residences, apartments, dwellings or rental units utilizing the service shall be charged an additional $50.00 per unit. (Ord. 1456 § 1, 2010; Ord. 1045 NS § 5, 1992).
