16.32.010 Bonds.

A. In lieu of the completion of the actual construction of any required improvements or monumentation prior to the recordation of a short plat or approval of a final plat, the plat administrator or council may accept a bond, approved as to form by the city attorney, in an amount and with sureties commensurate to cover 150 percent of the value of the improvements remaining to be completed securing to the city the construction and installation of the facilities and improvements within one year of the date of approval of the final plat or within the period specified by the city and expressed in the bonds. In addition, the city may require the posting of a bond securing to the city the successful operation of improvements for up to two years after final approval.

B. All bonded improvements shall be designed and certified by or under the supervision of a registered civil engineer prior to the acceptance of the improvements. (Ord. 1159 NS § 1, 1997).
