10.10.010 Malicious mischief against county property – Reward for information leading to conviction.

Any person or persons who shall furnish information or testimony leading to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons who shall commit any offense against Cowlitz County road signs, vehicles, buildings, or other county property, including but not limited to those offenses set forth in RCW 9A.48.070 through 9A.48.090, shall receive a reward in an amount to be set by a committee composed of the Prosecuting Attorney, a member of the Board of County Commissioners and the County Engineer, or their designee; provided, however, the amount of the reward shall not exceed $250.00 in any one case; provided further, that no employee of Cowlitz County shall receive a reward pursuant to this section. Said reward shall be paid from the appropriate county fund.

Before any person, or persons, is entitled to the above-mentioned reward, that person, or persons, must produce a certified copy of the record of conviction for one of the aforementioned offenses within one year from the date of conviction and establish to the Board of Cowlitz County Commissioners that his or their information or testimony led to the conviction.

This section shall become effective June 25, 1976. [Res. 4733, 6-21-76.]
